- The town has the usual mixture of public houses plus the Fat Sams nightclub. All have various closing times due to the new licensing laws. There is now a pubwatch in place and this, along with the varied closing times, has reduced any problems caused by a select few local revellers. The High Street is covered by CCTV cameras, each monitored 24hrs a day by operators located in the Guildhall, Bath.
