- This Safer Neighbourhood area covers the Hope Valley, including Castleton, Hope, Edale, Bamford and Derwent. It belongs to the B Central policing section. The Hope Valley neighbourhood is a large rural area that borders Sheffield, Bakewell and Glossop. It encompasses the villages of Castleton, Hope, Edale, Bamford, Derwent, Shatton and Brough, all of which vary in size. This whole area attracts thousands of visitors over the summer months who provide a real boost to the local economy.
