- This Safer Neighbourhood area covers Pleasley, New Houghton, Glapwell and Doe Lea. It belongs to the Bolsover policing section. Glapwell, Pleasley and New Houghton are all small villages within close proximity to the M1 motorway. The villages themselves are linked by the A617. The area has a mining history which ended in the late 80s.
