- This Safer Neighbourhood area covers Heage, Nether Heage and Ambergate. It belongs to the Amber Valley policing section. Heage, Nether Heage and Ambergate are adjoining villages approximately 3 miles from Belper and Ripley. During the past few years members of the local community have restored the 6-sail windmill in Nether Heage to its former glory and this is now a fully working windmill which attracts many tourists to the area.
