- About This Team
- The Kirkby Central Beat is a community of approximately 6,215 people and approximately 2,628 households. The beat stretches from the road known as Kingsway, as far as the boundary with Annesley Woodhouse and then back towards 'old Kirkby'. There are also three well known recreation areas known as Portland Park, Kingsway Park and Titchfield Park. There are a number of schools and places of worship. The arterial routes of Kingsway, Urban Road and Victoria Road cross the beat. Interestingly, the local Police Station is also situated within the beat.
