- Sherwood Rise is situated near the outskirts of Nottingham city centre and the boarder roads are Sherwood Rise, Hucknall Road and Valley Road. Sherwood Rise has a large educational establishment containing Clarendon College on Pelham Road, which is at the bottom of the beat with a centrally located nursery and primary school, Claremont Primary School, on Claremont Road. There are numerous places of worship for varying religions.
