- Thrumpton encompasses the area along London Road from the town centre to Goosemoor Lane in the south, along the railway line in the west to Hospital Road in the north. The area is mainly residential with some businesses around London Road Business Park. The train station situated on Station Road serves both the East Coast, London, Edinburgh and the Lincoln to Sheffield lines. There is a local primary school at Thrumpton Lane.
