- The Clayworth/ Sturton beat area is situated in the north of the county close to the borders with Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and Humberside and is around 15 miles north of Worksop.The beat area consists of 15 villages and hamlets - Wiseton, Clayworth, North Wheatley, South Wheatley, Hayton, Clarborough, Welham, West Burton, Sturton le Steeple, North Leverton, Habblesthorpe, Coates, Littleborough, Bole and Coates. It is in the main a farming area, the villages being mainly residential, some with a few businesses. Running through the middle of this area is the A620 that runs from Retford to the Trent Port at Gainsborough (Lincolnshire). Situated between the villages of Bole and Sturton le Steeple is the West Burton Power Station. The population of the beat area is 4073, residing in over 1709 dwellings and both these numbers are ever increasing as new houses are being built. There are primary schools at Clarborough, Wheatley, Sturton le Steeple and North Leverton. There are Parish Councils in the villages of Clayworth, Wheatley, Hayton, Clarborough, Sturton le Steeple and North Leverton.
