About This Team
Worksop is an extremely busy market town with many qualities that attract all members of the community. A great deal of history surrounds Worksop Town Centre including the paved area that resembles an heraldic Lion and Unicorn, and Churches that have been in place since the year 1103. There are many retail outlets within the town centre, these range from pharmacists, clothing departments, herbal shops, travel agents, numerous banks, hairdressing and beauty salons, fitness studios and many more. The Priory Centre has recently been re-developed and now has a further ten shops. Despite the common held belief that the town centre is purely commercial / retail premises the beat does consist of a large amount of dwelling houses, and a large community centre on the periphery that hosts numerous events for all ages, ranging from young children up to OAP'S, and in conjunction with such events it has a range of leisure facilities too. It also hosts a vast range of restaurants, and fast food outlets. There are eleven public houses, and one nightclub, all of which are members of pub watch. This will help ensure your visit is enjoyable and safe.
