- The North East Beat area has the highest population density of the 6 West Bassetlaw Beat areas. Encompassing Kilton, Prospect, Valley and half of the Gateford Estate, the North East area is bracketed by the large expanse of Kilton Golf Course, open countryside out towards Carlton in Lindrick and the Robin Hood train line. Overall it is a more affluent area than much of Worksop, with new estates continually being added on the fringes. Residents generally comprise of family units with small pockets of pensioners, often established around the local community centres of Larwood, Prospect, Thievesdale and Rayton Spur. There are numerous schools on the North East Beat catering to both Primary and Secondary age children - Sir Edmund Hillary (Kilton), Prospect Hill Junior School (Prospect), Gateford Park (Gateford), St Augustine's (Kilton), Norbridge (Valley), St John's (Prospect/Valley). As previously identified, this is in the main a residential area though recent developments have included the establishment of several small shopping precincts on Kilton Hill, Prospect Precinct, Longfellow Drive, Celtic Point and Raines Avenue. There are several individual business premises throughout the NE area, which are generally comprised of fast food establishments. There are also several Public Houses situated within residential settings - The Lord Byron (Kilton), The Horseshoe (Kilton), The Ashley (Prospect/Valley), The Roman Rest (Gateford) The Carlton tavern (between Gateford/Valley), The Innings (Prospect Precinct),St Joseph's Social Club (Prospect Precinct) There are several active community groups within the Beat Area - Kilton and Larwood Tenants and Residents Association, Prospect Tenants and Residents Association, Balmoral Tenants and Residents Association, Gateford Tenants and Residents Association
