About This Team
The Wiverton Council Ward is part of the Borough of Rushcliffe which covers South Nottinghamshire. The population was recorded in the 2001 Government Census as 3597 people over 1538 households. The Wiverton beat is completely rural. Cropwell Bishop is the largest of these villages and is situated in the north west of the beat area approximately four miles from the former mining town at Cotgrave. The area is enclosed by the A52 road to the north, the A46 road to the east and the A606 to the south. The county border with Leicestershire and the Vale of Belvoir lies to the west. There are primary schools located in Cropwell Bishop, Langar and Colston Bassett, that feed into various secondary schools in the surrounding area.
