- About This Team
- Cranmer ward consists of the three villages of Aslockton, Whatton and Scarrington and is located to the East of Bingham off the A52. Aslockton is bordered by the Old Grantham Road and Cliffhill Lane. Whatton is bordered by the A52 and the Old Grantham Road. Scarrington is bordered by Hawksworth road, Mill Lane and New Lane. Aslockton Aslockton is a village and civil parish twelve miles (19 km) east of Nottingham, and two miles east of Bingham on the north bank of the River Smite opposite Whatton. It has a population of around 1,000. Whatton Whatton is a small village adjacent to Aslockton and has a civil parish with its own parish council. The two villages share a parish council, playing fields association, public house and village shop. The population of Whatton is approximately 800. Scarrington Scarrington is a tiny hamlet with a population with approximately 300-400. There are no amenities in the local area with the exception of a village hall.
