- The area specifically defined, as Chilwell West has by Bypass Road as its boundary at its furthest point south encompassing the area of Haddon Crescent and Burgh Hall Close, by Bramcote Lane/School Lane/Attenborough Lane in the east. Orton Avenue is at the farthest point north and Ribblesdale Court in the west. There are several shops in the area such as the Sainsbury's Local on Blenheim Drive, the Spar/Post Office on Sunnyside Road. There are also several takeaways and newsagents and off licenses. There are four public houses in the area: the Inham Nook, the Charlton Arms, the Cadland and the Double Top. There are three schools in Chilwell West: Alderman Pounder Infant School, Eskdale Juniors and Sunnyside Primary School. Other places of note in the area are the Chetwynd Army Barracks, Inham Nook Recreation Ground and the Inham Nook Library. There are also two churches, St Barnabas on Inham Road and the Inham Nook Methodist Church on Pearson Avenue. There is also a cemetery situated off Field Lane.
