About This Team
Beeston Town Centre is made up of a mainly pedestrianised High Road running the length of the town centre, approximately ½ mile long, with a paved square at one end. There are over 100 shops made up of local small businesses and larger chain stores. The pedestrianised area has recently undergone renovation and modernisation. Broadly speaking the border areas are Nether Street, Middle Street, Devonshire Avenue, Wollaton Road and Humber Road. On the edge of the Town Centre is Broadgate Park, and Nottingham University is only a short distance away. There are several places of worship covering most faiths within the Town Centre itself and on the outskirts. Within the town centre there is a bus station with good access routes to both Nottingham & Derby. Located next to this is a taxi rank. The tram is due to be taking a route through Beeston in the next few years (subject to planning) and there is currently a multi storey car park within the town centre. There are many improvement plans for the future of Beeston Town Centre, which will keep it a pleasant and safe area to visit and shop.
