About This Team
This area covers the south ward of Mansfield from Forest Road to the A617 Southwell Road West, Black Scotch Lane and back across to Nottingham Road down to Baums Lane. Recently new housing developments have been built on the former sand quarry situated off Berry Hill Lane and on the former James Maude site situated of Forest Road Mansfield. There are two Schools situated within the ward, these being Berry Hill and High Oakham Primary. These schools cater for children between the ages of 5 years to 11 years. The Ward also has a selection of recreation grounds. Amongst them are Berry Hill and Spider Parks. Berry Hill Park has a running track which is used for major events. East Titchfield Neighbourhood area has been incorporated within the Berry Hill ward as its boundaries of Ratcliffe Gate, Windsor Road and Littleworth are adjacent and have clear links with the rest of Berry Hill. The centre of the community is focused around Broxtowe Drive, Cavendish Street area where there are small businesses established. Fisher Lane Park is an recreation area which is well used by all members of the community and recently had a skateboard plaza commissioned.
