- The unit investigates the usual criminal offences but also aims in partnership with HM Customs to prevent trafficking in drugs and human cargo. The unit's presence provides reassurance to the travelling public who pass through the busy and expanding Airport. A visible and approachable stance makes policing in the Airport environment a positive presence for travellers, Airport staff and those using the Airport facilities.
