Western Park neighbourhood mirrors the council ward from which it takes its name. The neighbourhood contains a resident population of approximately 10,000 in 4500 households.
The area contains Western Park, 178 acres of open space, woodland and sports facilities including a public golf course. This area also has a small but busy shopping parade.
There is a further small park nearby, Fosse Recreation Ground, with facilities aimed particularly at children.
