Minutes:
Further to Minute No. 54 of the Licensing and Regulatory Committee held on 20 April 2009, the Committee considered the report of the Environmental Protection Director that advised of an objection to the recently advertised application for changes to the existing Hackney Carriage tariff.
The report informed that a letter containing a petition of 38 signatures in objection to the proposed increase of the tariff 2 bandwidth from 23:00–05:00 to 23:00–06:00 had been received. Receipt of this objection necessitated the convening of the Licensing and Regulatory (Urgent Referrals) Committee to consider the request and its objection.
Prior to the consideration of the application, the Committee received representation from Mr. R.Jarman on behalf of objectors to the proposed Hackney Carriage tariff rise.
RESOLVED:
That the objection be sustained and the request to change the existing Hackney Carriage Fare Tariff be refused.
