The next meeting of the Committee is due to be held on 5 May 2010 which, subject to issue of the Parliamentary writ, is likely to be the eve of the General Election.  Preparations for the Election require extensive use of the Council Chamber affecting its availability for the meeting; the date may also be inconvenient for members.

To consider postponing the date of the next meeting by seven days – to Wednesday 12 May 2010.

To consider any matters which the Chairman agrees as urgent in accordance with Section 100B of the Local Government Act 1972.
