The Sub-Committee considered a report of the Director of Services on an application Took us a Long Time Ltd to further vary the existing Premises Licence which has been varied once before on 10th September 2008 for the premises known as Wildwood, 1 West Common, Gerrards Cross, Bucks SL9 7QN.

 

The report detailed the application made, the representations received from the Responsible Authorities and the 19 objections including from Gerrards Cross Parish Council, West Common Residents Association, West Common Close Management Limited and individual local resident, however, it was noted the Parish Council has withdrawn their objection based on the revised application, from interested parties during the 28-day consultation period.

The applicant was represented by Mr Ellis Seereen of Davenport Lyons, 30, Old Burlington Street, London, W1S 3NL; Mr Chrissie Hopkins, Manager; and Ms Joanna Bargery, Operations Manager.

 

The Sub-Committee conducted the Hearing in accordance with its adopted procedure. 

 

The responsible authorities - the Police; The Fire Authority; the Local Authority; and the District Planning Authority had no objections to the application and were not represented.  (An initial objection from the Local Authority Environmental Health Officer had been withdrawn, subject to the acceptance of additional special conditions being attached to the Licence).  

 

The Council’s Licensing Officer addressed the Hearing, tabled for information an amended Application Schedule and a Schedule of Conditions, additional letters on behalf of the Applicants and from Gerrards Cross Parish Council, an internal layout plan and a plan illustrating the source of objectors and a menu provided by the Applicants.

 

The variations applied for initially was as set out in the Application Form appended to the Licensing Officer’s report,which included all the representations together with a copy of the adopted Hearing Procedure; a copy of which all the Sub-Committee Members and Relevant Parties had received - but had subsequently been amended by the Applicants and could be summarised as follows –

 

1.      Permission for live music – indoors only - to be added to the Licensable Activities permitted - 12.00 to 22.00 Saturdays and Sundays - and from 12 noon New Years Eve through to 1am New Years Day – and

 

2.      Permission to delete the embedded restrictions from the existing Premises Licence at 1 a, b, c and d.

 

No other variation to the existing Premises Licence was sought.
