7.1 From Cllr Glanville to the Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods:

"After one of the coldest and most disruptive winters in a lifetime, could the Cabinet Member tell me how Hackney coped with these unprecedented weather conditions?"

7.2 From Cllr Borris to the Mayor:

“The Home Office has confirmed that it will make voluntary identity cards available to 16 to 24 year olds in the capital early in 2010, prior to the compulsory introduction.   Given the unease many people have about the proposed introduction of ID cards, both over  civil liberties and because of the estimated costs of the scheme, will the Mayor give an assurance that no one will need a national identity card, voluntary or compulsory, to access Council services or benefits unless specifically required to do so by Act of Parliament; that the Council will take no part in any pilot scheme or feasibility work in relation to the introduction of the national identity cards; and will only co-operate with the national identity card scheme where to do otherwise would be unlawful?”

7.3 From Cllr Jonathan McShane to the Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods:

“At the last election, Labour pledged that, through joint working between the police and Council, a 20% reduction in street crime would be delivered. Could the Cabinet Member update me as to progress with this commitment?"

7.4 From Cllr Coggins to the Cabinet Member for Customer and Corporate Services:

“How many un-let properties are there in the Council’s commercial property portfolio?  What is the total full annual market rent for these properties?”

7.5 From Cllr Bell to the Cabinet Member for Customer Services and Sustainability:

‘Could the Cabinet Member tell me if the Council applied for the Social Housing Energy Savings Programme? And if so, what will be achieved as a result?’

7.6 From Cllr Coggins to the Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources:

 “What is the Cabinet Member doing to secure funding for the Freedom Pass following the Transport Minister Sadiq Khan’s decision tear up the previously agreed 3 year funding deal for the pass?”  

7.7 From Cllr Demirci to the Deputy Mayor:

"Could she inform the Council whether Hackney secured any additional resources to build new Council homes? How does our record in this compare to other London authorities? What results will residents of my ward see?"

7.8 From Cllr Thomson to the Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods:

"What is the Council doing to crack down on problem pubs and clubs that cause noise nuisance and disturbance to residents living nearby?"

7.9 From Cllr Stops to the Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods:

"While the Labour Government has promised to maintain police funding, the Conservatives have refused to give the same commitment to the Metropolitan Police.  Could he tell us what impact a cut in police funding might have on Hackney’s success in fighting crime?"
