To receive as a correct record the minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 25^th March 2009.

The minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 25^th March 2009 were received as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

The representative of the Executive Director of Corporate Resources reported that no Declarations of Interest had been submitted by Members.

To consider the report of the Executive Director of Corporate Resources.

The Committee considered the report of the Executive Director of Corporate Resources which sought approval of a training and development programme for Licensing Committee Members during this Municipal Year.

RESOLVED – That the proposed training programme, as set out in section 4 of the report now submitted, be approved for inclusion within the Members Training and Development Strategy and Programme for 2009/10.

To consider the report of the Executive Director of Corporate Resources.

The Committee considered the report of the Executive Director of Corporate Resources which set out a summary of Environmental Health and Consumer Protection enforcement activities undertaken during 2008/09.

RESOLVED – That the report be noted.

The Executive Director of Corporate Resources to submit, for information, the minutes of the following meetings of the Licensing Sub-Committees:-

The Executive Director of Corporate Resources submitted the minutes of the following meetings of the Licensing Sub-Committees for information:-

(a)       Licensing Sub-Committee 4 – 22^nd April 2009;

(b)       Licensing Sub-Committee 5A – 27^th May 2009; and

(c)        Licensing Sub-Committee 5A – 1^st June 2009.

RESOLVED – That the minutes be noted.

RESOLVED – That under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following two items of business on the grounds that they involved the disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph of 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act.

To consider the report of the Executive Director of Corporate Resources.

The Committee considered the report of the Executive Director of Corporate Resources which set out five applications for Designated Public Place Orders for Wignall Park, Court Hey Park, Stadt Moers, Millennium Green and Henley Park together with an analysis of data of alcohol related anti-social behaviour in each of the five locations.

RESOLVED – That the applications for Designated Public Place Orders in Wignall Park, Court Hey Park, Stadt Moers, Millennium Green and Henley Park be approved.

The Committee considered the report of the Executive Director of Corporate Resources which detailed the action taken by the Executive Director of Corporate Resources in consultation with the Chairman and/or Vice-Chairman of Licensing Committee, in respect of:-

(1)
