The Standards Committee has resolved to improve standards and response times and has referred a number of recommendations and comments to Hackney Management Team (HMT) for consideration and feedback.  This report provides the Standards Committee with feedback from HMT and makes recommendations for improving complaints handling.

The Standards Board for England conducted a survey of monitoring officers, standards committee chairs and councillors at the end of 2007. The survey identifies good practice and areas where the SBE can make improvements.
