Core Strategy - The Spatial Strategy: Where Should Development be Located? PDF 153 KB

Minutes:
The Committee considered the report of the Planning and Economic Regeneration Director that informed of the Spatial Strategy. The Spatial Strategy would provide a framework for future investment decisions over the next 15 to 20 years. The report included the key findings of the background studies and the results of the early consultation reported to the Committee during the previous meeting cycle, and how this would help to shape a Spatial Strategy for the borough (where development should be located) during the next 15 to 20 years.
RESOLVED: That
(1) the key issues arising from the studies carried out to date, and the implications that these would have on setting priorities to be addressed in the Core Strategy, be noted; and
(2) the strategic priorities issues outlined in section 5 are be included in the Core Strategy, and the spatial strategy set out in section 6 of the report be approved.
