- All males aged 16 to 74 and usually resident in the area at the time of the 2001 Census who were long-term unemployed.'Long-term unemployed' are those who stated (at the time of the 2001 Census) they had not worked since 1999 or earlier.When viewed as a percentage this variable is the percentage of males who are long-term unemployed of 'Unemployed males aged 16 to 74' rather than 'All males'.
